Easy Costume Ideas For Our Annual Halloween Bash at the Lake of the Ozarks
The best Halloween party at the Lake of the Ozarks is coming to Wicked Willie's Sports Grill on Thursday, October 31, 2019! There will be dancing, drinking, lots of people to party with, and a costume contest for wicked good prizes. Have you picked out a costume yet? If you need a little help in that area, we've got a few quick and easy ideas for you in today's blog.
The Halloween Bash
First, in case you haven't heard already, these are the details for this year's annual Halloween Bash at our Lake of the Ozarks bar & restaurant. The party starts at 8:00 pm. The always entertaining DJ Dr. Cheese will be here spinning dance music all night long. We'll have some great drink specials in store for you too. Expect lots of treats throughout the evening and as for tricks, well, you'll have to show up and find out!
Easy Ideas for the Costume Contest
Last but certainly not least, there will be a costume contest, so you'll want to dress your best to impress our judges. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Individual Costume and the Best Couple/Group Costume.
Superhero (and super villian) movies are still popular, so we expect to see quite a few Thors, Spider-Men, and possibly some Jokers. TV shows like Stranger Things and Game of Thrones are expected to have an impact on this year's top costume picks as well.
Today, we've got a few very simple and easy-to-throw-together costume ideas. They may or may not win you the top prize, but at least you'll be dressed up!
Ghost
A plain white sheet and a pair of scissors to cut the eyes out gives you an easy ghost costume. Don't have a white sheet? Use whatever you've got and just tell people that the color or pattern is because you lived a "colorful life" before you became a ghost. Make up a backstory, maybe get bonus points!

Mummy
A roll or two of toilet paper is an automatic DIY costume. Just wrap some long strands of it around yourself and you're all dressed. If it rips at any point while you're dancing, you can head to the bathroom and re-wrap yourself.
Your Evil Twin
This is probably the easiest one on the list. All you have to do is show up looking like yourself, but with a sneaky look on your face. If you want to truly stay in character, it's the perfect time to pull a few pranks on your friends since you'll be playing the part of your evil twin!

Tourist
If you live in the lake area, you have your own idea of what a tourist looks like. We suggest throwing on your swimsuit and a cover-up, maybe pick up some "Lake of the Ozarks" souvenir gear at the store and look like you're lost all night. A camera around your neck is a nice touch, and if you can scrounge up a fanny pack to wear, now that just might be prize-worthy.

Risky Business
It's a pop-culture classic plus you get to show off those sexy legs with a Risky Business-inspired look. All you need is a long white shirt (please, for all of our sakes, make sure it's long enough!,) a pair of socks, sunglasses, and a cool attitude. (The DJ's sure to play your song, so get that iconic dance slide ready!)
Party Animal
All you need is a pair of ears, which you can find at just about any store this time of year, and a party hat - voila - "Party Animal!" Paint your nose and stick a tail to your behind if you want to go the extra mile.
Identity Theif
Pick up a packet of "Hi, my name is..." stickers, write a variety of different names on each one, and stick them all over your body.
Ceiling Fan
Easier than it sounds, and perfect for a sports bar. Take a plain t-shirt and write "Go Ceiling!" on it. Get it... you're cheering for the ceiling... so you're a fan...

You could even just show up in your favorite team's gear and be a Wicked Willie's Sports Grill sports fan! Hey, here's another idea. Trade jerseys with the fan of an opposing team so you can embody the true spirit of Halloween and be someone else for the night. (Or is the idea of wearing the wrong team's gear just way too scary?)
Even if you don't feel like dressing up, go ahead and join us at our Lake of the Ozarks sports bar & grill pm Thursday, October 31 at 8:00 pm. It's going to be a #WickedGood party, as always, and we'd love to have you there!
