Labor Day weekend is always an exciting time at the Lake. Most people look forward to it because it's the last chance they'll have to get out on the water this year. For the loyal sports fans that frequent the best sports bar at the Lake of the Ozarks, Labor Day weekend is all about college football! There's plenty of time to enjoy both over the 3-day weekend. College Football
The NFL preseason games will be all wrapped by the time Labor Day weekend gets here, but that's okay, because there are plenty of college football games to keep you glued to our TVs! Two nearby Missouri teams will take each other on this Saturday, 9/2. Springfield's Missouri State Bears travel to Columbia to challenge the Missouri Tigers at 11 am. The highly anticipated match-up between Florida State and Alabama happens that evening at 7 pm, and we'll have all the games going on in between those two, all day long.
Even though we're located in mid-Missouri, our Lake of the Ozarks sports bar attracts fans from lots of different states, meaning you'll hear cheers for quite a few different college teams while you're here. The Iowa Hawkeyes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oklahoma Sooners, Kansas Jayhawks, and many more are sure to be represented, so come in ready to back your favorite team! Our 33 TVs and 3 giant projection screens let you catch all the games at once, so you don't miss a thing!

NFL Opening Game Tailgate Extravaganza!
You'll want to rest up after Labor Day, because we're throwing an unbelievable party for opening day of the NFL season featuring the Kansas City Chiefs against the New England Patriots. On Thursday, September 7, we're hosting an awesome tailgate party in the parking lot from 4-6:30 pm. There will be live music, beer pong, a beer tent, free giveaways and more. Lake Escape is even bringing one of their mobile units for you to escape... if you can!
At 6:30 we'll head inside to anxiously await kickoff. We'll have a DJ on hand giving you a live stadium experience throughout the game, and prizes will be given out after each quarter, plus every time our Chiefs score! Behind the bar, 13-year NFL quarterback Shaun Hill will be slinging drinks, and Jager, Jameson, and Bud Light specials will be available all night long. At the end of the game, we'll be giving away a grand prize of a Budweiser BBQ grill.
No matter what you've got going on this Labor Day weekend, we're sure you're going to want to spend a big portion of it right here at the best place to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks. Lots of action, amazing food, incredible drinks, and awesome people to cheer on your favorite teams with.
