Catch All of the College Basketball Tournament Action at Wicked Willie's
It's time once again for the most exciting month in college basketball, and your tournament headquarters is Wicked Willie's Sports Grill! We will have all of the 2018 NCAA tournament action playing and the best basketball fans in town to watch it with. Let your friends know to meet you at the best place to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks, and if you turn in the most accurate bracket, you could win an awesome grand prize!
Selection Sunday
The NCAA will announce the 68 men's college basketball teams that will be playing in this year's championship games on Sunday, March 11, 2018, beginning at 5 pm, and we'll all be here anxiously awaiting the announcement so that we can start filling out our brackets! They will first be announcing all of the teams that qualified, followed by the list of matchups and locations of each game.
32 teams gain automatic entry into the tournament by winning their conference's championship game. The remaining 36 teams are chosen by a selection committee made up of athletic directors and conference commissioners. Below you will find the names of the teams that have already earned their spot, plus the dates this weekend when the final conference championships will be taking place. Be sure to join us at Wicked Willie's Sports Grill to catch these final preliminary games.
Got a #WickedGood Bracket?
Once again this year we will be collecting filled-out tournament brackets to see who in town has the best college basketball knowledge. (Or, who is the best guesser!) You can come in and fill out a bracket starting on Monday, March 12, and all completed brackets must be turned in by 11:00 am Thursday, March 15. We've got a really cool grand prize lined up for the winning bracket, but you'll have to come in to learn those juicy details. Let's just say, for now, the winner will not go thirsty in the coming year!
Watching Sports at Wicked Willie's
When you come here to catch any of your favorite sports, there's not a bad seat in the house at our Lake of the Ozarks sports bar & grill. With 33 TVs and 3 projection screens located all around the bar and restaurant areas, you can view all of the action no matter where you decide to sit. If you want a seat on those comfy couches, though, you better make plans early. That spot is pretty popular!
Tournaments are lengthy affairs, so you'll be here for quite a while if you want to catch all of the games. That's not a problem because we've got the tastiest food and most refreshing drinks in town to keep your hunger well-fed and your thirst quenched throughout.
For all of those weekday games, make sure you're here for our Monday-Friday Happy Hour from 3-6 pm for extra discounts on domestic bottle beers, house wine, and well and call drinks. There are even a couple of games taking place on Wicked Wednesday, March 14, when we extend our Happy Hour from 3 pm until midnight and add $2 off all wings, a half-pound of peel & eat shrimp for $7, and 3 sliders for $6 to the list of specials.
