The Best Burgers at the Lake of the Ozarks are #WickedGood!
There is something so incredibly satisfying about curing your hunger with a big, tasty burger! If you're searching for the best burgers at the Lake of the Ozarks, then you are going to want to make a stop at Wicked Willie's Sports Grill for lunch or dinner soon. This delicious dish is practically an American tradition, and we're pretty sure we've perfected it.
The actual origin of the modern-day hamburger is a bit blurry, but regardless of who actually gets the credit, it has become known as an American delicacy. Our country claims to have first put a steak made of ground beef between two slices of bread to create a "hamburger sandwich," but since those two basic ingredients had already been eaten separately for so many years prior, it makes the pinpointing the first one ever made a bit hazy.
The food that most likely led to the eventual hamburger was the Hamburg Steak. European immigrants arriving in the New World (America) from the port of Hamburg brought along with them the recipe for a Hamburg-style steak. The version that began appearing in restaurants all around New York in the 19th Century consisted of a kind of fillet of beef minced by hand, lightly salted, and often smoked, but usually served raw in a dish with onions and breadcrumbs.
Thankfully, someone had the bright idea to begin cooking that raw meat. By 1930, the "hamburger steak" was replaced by the name "hamburger," which is now most often just shortened to burger. It didn't take long after putting it between two slices of bread for people to start making their burgers with tasty add-ons like onions, lettuce, and sliced pickles.

Around the world, hamburgers are most often associated with American fast food, but the burgers at Wicked Willie's Sports Grill are so much more than those typical burgers. The rest of the world wishes they were here to get their hands (and mouths) on one of ours!
All of our burgers are 7 ounces (that's nearly a half-pound!) and served on a Brioche Bun. They are made fresh to order and come out hot, juicy, and absolutely delicious! When we top them with the creative combinations of burger add-ons that make up our signature burgers, it's a whole new experience.
You can create your own by taking our Classic Burger, which is flame-grilled to perfection, and adding as many of the following as you like (for a small additional charge for each topping):
