Cinco de Mayo AND Sports... Yes Please!
There are quite a few exciting things going on this weekend. In sports, there's the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, plus we get to watch the classic rivalry of the Cardinals and the Cubs all weekend long at our Lake of the Ozarks sports bar & grill. On the calendar, Saturday also happens to be Cinco de Mayo. Even though Wicked Willie's Sports Grill isn't a Mexican restaurant, we've got plenty of tasty food & drink items that will satisfy your need to celebrate the holiday, so get ready to spend the entire weekend right here with us!
ALL Your Favorite Sports
No matter what type of sport you're into, if it's on television, we should be able to get it on one of our 33 TVs and 3 projection screens! Wicked Willie's is the best to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks, and we've always got all the games playing.
This weekend the classic Cardinals vs.Cubs rivalry will be played out once again on Friday (7:15 pm,) Saturday (1:15 pm,) and Sunday (7:08 pm!) The Royals take on the Tigers over the weekend too. (Friday @ 7:15 pm, Saturday @ 3:15 pm, & Sunday @ 1:15 pm.) There will be NBA action all weekend long, as well as continuing NHL coverage of the fight for the Stanley Cup. We'll have plenty of our Fresh Jumbo Wings and ice-cold beer to go along with all of that action, if that's what you're into. (There are LOTS of other choices on the food & drink menus if you're in the mood for something else!)
A big annual event, a little thing called The Kentucky Derby, is also taking place on Saturday, May 5. There will be coverage of the "Race for the Roses" all day long, and the actual race is set to begin around 5:30 pm. (So it should be over in plenty of time before the Cardinals game!) What goes best with this particular horse race? Bourbon! We always have plenty of that on hand, but we'll make doubly sure that we do for this special occasion.

The extensive menu we serve at our Lake of the Ozarks bar & restaurant is filled with a wide variety of delicious dishes, all quite a few steps above the "bar food" you'd normally expect from a sports grill. Among those menu items, we've created our own take on a few classic Mexican dishes. These are the perfect choice for anyone wanting to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Saturday while you're here watching the games.
You're going to need something to wash all of that delicious food down with too. Let us suggest one of our specialty margaritas or perhaps an ice-cold Corona. It's all in the spirit of the holiday, and oh so incredibly good!
A Bloody Mary Bar Too!
Don't forget, we've also got our Bloody Mary Bar every Saturday & Sunday from 11 am-2 pm. It's just one more way that Wicked Willie's Sports Grill is here to make sure your weekend is extra-special! You tell us what type of vodka you want to be added to the Bloody Mary mix, and then you get to add all the "fixin's" you like to create your own liquid masterpiece.
