Tastes Like Chicken... Because It Is!
With the coming of September, Wicked Willie's Sports Grill has been heavily focused on the beginning of both college and pro football. (As we should be!) This month is also National Chicken Month, and since our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant & bar has a lot of delicious chicken dishes on our menu, we decided to show a few of those off to you in today's blog. After all, you're going to want something to munch on during those games, and these may be just the thing to hit the spot!
First, the Facts
Chicken not only tastes good, but it's actually good for you too. It's an excellent source of protein, which your body uses for muscle growth and development. Protein also helps to support a healthy body weight. The high level of the amino acid, tryptophan, increases the serotonin levels produced by the brain, which boosts your mood and consequently can relieve stress.
The many vitamins and minerals present in chicken do a body good too. B-vitamins help with maintaining a healthy body weight by regulating digestion and boosting metabolism. They also boost immunity. Vitamin D helps a body absorb calcium, and vitamin A lends to good eye health. Eating chicken even lowers your risk of having high cholesterol and developing heart problems.

Celery, onion, grapes, dried cranberries, and toasted almonds served either on toasted wheat or in a lettuce cup.

BBQ sauce, seasoned chicken, bacon, red onions, cheddar jack cheese, and fresh cilantro.
-Cajun Chicken Fettuccine-
Blackened spiced grilled chicken with roasted peppets, sundried tomatoes, and sauteed spinach in a spicy Cajun sauce.
-Mediterranean Chicken Wrap-
Grilled chicken, baby spinach, feta cheese, and eggplant relish with tomatoes & olives in a spinach herb tortilla.
-Asian Chicken & Vegetable Stir-Fry-
Tender morsels of chicken, carrots, mushrooms, peppers, broccoli, and fresh herbs in a flavorful broth with steamed rice.
