Dining on the "Lighter" Side Can Still Taste Delicious at Wicked Willie's Sports Grill!

If you haven't had the chance to check us out yet at Wicked Willie's Sports Grill in Osage Beach, you might assume that our menu offers typical "bar foods" that are greasy and fattening. On the contrary, our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant & bar serves a wide variety of delicious dishes, from hearty appetizers to gourmet entrees. (We still have your favorite "bar foods" on the menu too, but they are anything but typical!)

Around the lake area, most people are on vacation. When mealtime rolls around, you may wish to eat a little lighter to counteract all the "fun" calories you've been enjoying, not to mention the adult beverage calories many of us indulge in more than usual while out on the lake. (C'mon, you know it's true!)

Our sports bar & grill at the Lake of the Ozarks offers quite a few menu items that you can enjoy full of fresh, healthy ingredients that will fill you up without filling you out! Here are a few examples.

Menu Items on the Lighter Side
Choosing seafood is often a delicious way to cut a few calories and ordering meat grilled rather than fried is helpful too. When it comes to side dishes, Wicked Willie's Sports Grill has both fresh vegetables and fresh fruit as options. Here are a few of the appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees you might also enjoy.

-Tuna Tataki-
Seared tuna loin drizzled with citrus soy and served with an Asian salad & ginger-miso vinaigrette.

-Peel & Eat Shrimp-
Large shrimp seasoned & chilled, served with lemon and house-made cocktail sauce either by the pound or half-pound.

-Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps-
Grilled, marinated chicken, pickled carrots & daikon, bean sprouts, roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh herbs, rice noodles, and toasted peanuts, served with nuoccham (Vietnamese dipping sauce) or teriyaki sauce.

-Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich-
Melted Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, herb mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato on a brioche bun. Add avocado for added nutrition and tasty flavor.

-Smoked Turkey & Pepper Jack Club-
Smoked turkey, pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayonnaise on toasted wheat bread.

-Mediterranean Chicken Wrap-
Grilled chicken, baby spinach, feta cheese, and eggplant relish with tomatoes and olives in a spinach herb tortilla.

-Grilled Salmon Wrap-
Grilled hoisin-glazed salmon, pineapple salsa, sesame-ginger dressed greens, slivered almonds, and rice noodles in a spinach herb tortilla.

-Grilled Whitefish Sandwich-
Served with remoulade, lettuce, and tomato on a hoagie.

Hearty Salads To Fill You Up
Salads are another lighter option, especially when you order the dressing on the side. Ours are filled to the brim with delicious ingredients that do a body good! Dressing choices include Bleu Cheese, Buttermilk Ranch, Caesar, French, Honey Mustard, Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette, Vinegar & Oil, and Wicked Willie's House.

-Strawberry & Goat Cheese-
Organic baby spinach, fresh strawberries, spiced pecans, crumbled goat cheese, and a side of strawberry-balsamic vinaigrette.

-Asian Chicken Salad-
Grilled hoisin-marinated chicken, shredded cabbage, carrots, leaf lettuce, broccoli florets, and peanut dressing topped with crispy rice noodles.

-Smoked Turkey Cobb-
Mixed greens, smoked turkey, avocado, tomato, crisp bacon, soft boiled egg, and bleu cheese, crumbles.

Even if you aren't watching your calories, the menu items listed above are so mouthwateringly delicious, you won't even realize you're eating on the lighter side! Eating healthy doesn't mean you have to be miserable. Head on over to Wicked Willie's Sports Grill for lunch or dinner and we'll show you how to do it in the most delicious ways possible!
