Happy Cinco de Mayo - Tacos, Margaritas, & a Side of Sports!
This Sunday, May 5, 2019, is Cinco de Mayo and even though Wicked Willie's Sports Grill isn't a Mexican restaurant, we've got tacos, nachos, quesadillas, cheese dip, and margaritas to rival the best of 'em! The biggest bonus of celebrating this delicious holiday here with us is that you'll also be in the best place to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks while you party. Win-Win!
A #WickedGood Cinco de Mayo Menu
A #WickedGood Cinco de Mayo Menu
The extensive menu we serve at our Lake of the Ozarks bar & restaurant is filled with a wide variety of delicious dishes, all quite a few steps above the typical "bar food" you'd normally expect from a sports grill. Among those menu items, we've created our own take on a few classic Mexican dishes.
These are the perfect choice for celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Sunday while you're here watching all of your favorite sports action.
Spicy Baja Shrimp Tacos
Sauteed shrimp tossed in a chipotle sauce with cilantro slaw, avocado, mango, and chipotle sour cream and served with a side of black beans.
A magical blend of velvety cheeses, chorizo, and just the perfect hint of spices served with tortilla chips.
Seasoned ground beef, cheddar jack cheese, queso blanco, tomatoes, jalapeno-pickled celery, and green onions.
Buffalo Chicken Nachos
Grilled chicken tossed in Wicked Willie’s Buffalo sauce, melted cheddar jack cheese, bleu cheese crumbles, and jalapeno pickled celery, all drizzled with sriracha ranch.
Smoked Chicken Fajita Nachos
Smoked chicken, black beans, queso blanco, fajita peppers and onions, all sprinkled with queso fresco.
The Game is ALWAYS OnNo matter what type of sport you're into, if it's on television, we should be able to get it on one of our 31 TVs and 3 giant projection screens! (Which is just one of the many reason's Wicked Willie's is the best sports bar & grill at the Lake of the Ozarks!)
On Cinco de Mayo Sunday, the Kansas City Royals take on the Detroit Tigers starting at noon. The St. Louis Blues are scheduled against the Dallas Stars in game 6 of their journey to the Stanley Cup at 2:00 pm. (This could be our year!) The St. Louis Cardinals will be in Chicago battling the Cubs in a game that begins at 6:00 pm. In addition to all of that, there are NBA playoffs, PGA tour golf, and as always, a lot more!
Of course, we're only highlighting Sunday because we're talking about Cinco de Mayo in this week's blog. We'll have all the games on, all weekend long (and of course, on the weekdays before and after the weekend too!) The Kentucky Derby coverage is on all day Saturday. An excellent excuse to come in and drink some fine Kentucky bourbon with us and watch the horses race!
Margaritas, Mexican Beer (& Bloody Marys!)Cinco de Mayo isn't complete without a great big, refreshing, tequila-filled margarita. (Or you could always opt for the straight tequila shot too! Olé!) Mexican beer is also an excellent choice, but if you're not in the mood for either of those, don't forget that we've also got our Bloody Mary Bar every Saturday & Sunday from 11 am-2 pm.
Our Bloody Mary Bar is just one more way that Wicked Willie's Sports Grill is here to make sure your weekend is extra-special! You tell us what type of vodka you want to be added to the Bloody Mary mix and then you get to add all the "fixin's" you like to create your own liquid masterpiece. As a matter of fact, have us add tequila instead & enjoy a Bloody Maria for the holiday!
Regardless of which game you're watching or what you're celebrating, join us at our Lake of the Ozarks sports bar & grill this weekend, and every weekend while you're at it! There's always something fun happening, always a great game on, and always delicious food and drinks being served. Around here, life is #WickedGood!
